Doug and his Hawker Typhoon

A newcommer to combat this season, this Hawker Typhoon has proven to be quite formidable. It is set-up with an X-motor 300B cranking over a GWS 9-5 HD prop. and it has power to spare. The plane was originally maidened last winter with a geared 350 brushed power system for park flying, but when the call came in for combat duty, an upgrade was in order. It feels like a completely different plane now. If you are unlucky enough to have to combat this one, you will be watching your six most of the time.
As a footnote, this plane is now retired as of 10/9/06. It met it's demise during park pylon racing, and was slammed into the lightpole at high speed.
